The first section you will come across in any competitive level exam question paper is the “English language”. The objective here is to test the basic knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and general rules of the English Language. Topics from which questions can be asked are reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar. Let's discuss in detail how it is asked:-

  1. Reading Comprehension - In this part you will be given a paragraph and questions will be asked based on it. A comprehension can give you easily 3 to 4 marks if you know how to read and answer questions about it. Daily solving 1 comprehension-based question will prepare you for this section and you can easily attempt it in the paper.
  2. Vocabulary - This we all have done in our schools and here also it is no different. Basic questions are on antonyms, synonyms, phrases, idioms, proofread and lexicons, etc. The daily building of vocabulary by reading and writing new words will make you good to go for the vocabulary section.
