Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali is the only university in India that offers 5 years integrated BA LLB program and 1 year postgraduate LLM program to its students. It has 80 seats for BA LLB which includes reservations for wards of Army Personnel.

About AIL LET

AIL LET is conducted by the Army Institute of Law, Mohali (AIL) for admission in an integrated BA LLB course. It is the examination of a multiple-choice question which is of 120 minutes. Every year it is conducted once in May. The only way for admission in AIL is through AIL LET, it doesn't entertain any other exam or its scores.

Examination Pattern

The examination pattern for AIL LET is not of much difference to other Law entrance tests (LET). It checks the basic ability of the students of various aptitudes. It incorporates four sections of 50 questions each marking a total of 200. The details for which are as follows:-

For every correct answer, candidates are allotted 1 mark and there is no negative marking in the examination. The level of the examination is toilsome as the university doesn’t release the question paper after the exam in pursuance of maintenance of level.

Eligibility Criteria

Every candidate applying for AIL LET 2021 should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:-

  • They should have passed the 10+2 examination from the School Education Board or any other equivalent board in India.
  • Minimum 45% is required in the above-stated examination
  • Candidates who are appearing for 10+2 in 2021 are also eligible for appearing in AIL LET 2021
  • Any candidate who has completed their 10+2 examination from an open university is not eligible to appear for this examination.
  • There is no age limit for this examination

Examination Fees for AIL LET 2021

The Application fee for AIL LET is Rs. 3000 for every category of applicants including SC/ST.

How to Apply for AIL LET 2021?

Like many other law entrance tests, the application form for AILET can also be filled online on the official website of the Army Institute of Law http://www.ail.ac.in/. Details for the following are as follows:-

  • Candidates need to register themselves by clicking on the registration link given on the website
  • After registration application form needs to be filled by providing all the personal details
  • Once details are entered certain documents like passport size photograph, digital signature, and Aadhar card are asked to be uploaded
  • Post uploading of the documents fee payment can be made through any online payment mode.

University will release the admit card for the exam in April 2021 that can be downloaded from their official website. The examination is conducted in 32 cities in India and all the candidates must carry their admit card and identity proof to the exam center.

Exam Results

University will declare the results within 15 days of the exam. Students can check their results by visiting the official website of AIL and downloading their scorecard. Those aspirants who have cleared the exam will need to appear for the counselling process as and when intimated by the university. Endmost result and admission will be based on the AILET merit list, eligibility criteria, and reservation quota.
