Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali is the only university in India that offers 5 years integrated BA LLB program and 1 year postgraduate LLM program to its students. Founded in 1999 by the Indian Army, AIL is affiliated with the Punjab University (Patiala). With the backing of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), it has emerged as one of the best law schools in India. Accredited with a grade 'B' by the NAAC it is a centre of excellence in the field of legal education. To get admission to AIL students need to give the Army Institute of Law Law Entrance Test (AIL LET). It's an online test of 120 minutes. It has 80 seats for BA LLB which includes reservations for wards of Army Personnel.
AIL LET is conducted by the Army Institute of Law, Mohali (AIL) for admission in an integrated BA LLB course. It is the examination of a multiple-choice question which is of 120 minutes. Every year it is conducted once in May. The only way for admission in AIL is through AIL LET, it doesn't entertain any other exam or its scores.
The examination pattern for AIL LET is not of much difference to other Law entrance tests (LET). It checks the basic ability of the students of various aptitudes. It incorporates four sections of 50 questions each marking a total of 200. The details for which are as follows:-
For every correct answer, candidates are allotted 1 mark and there is no negative marking in the examination. The level of the examination is toilsome as the university doesn’t release the question paper after the exam in pursuance of maintenance of level.

The Application fee for AIL LET is Rs. 3000 for every category of applicants including SC/ST.

University will release the admit card for the exam in April 2021 that can be downloaded from their official website. The examination is conducted in 32 cities in India and all the candidates must carry their admit card and identity proof to the exam center.
University will declare the results within 15 days of the exam. Students can check their results by visiting the official website of AIL and downloading their scorecard. Those aspirants who have cleared the exam will need to appear for the counselling process as and when intimated by the university. Endmost result and admission will be based on the AILET merit list, eligibility criteria, and reservation quota.
