About GATE EE

GATE – EE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering - Electrical Engineering) is a field of engineering which deals with the electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. This exam is conducted for the students who want to take admission in the electrical engineering field. This exam is conducted for a fair chance of admission for all the students. Students who pass the GATE – EE exam are offered admission letters from various universities. It is a national level entrance exam.

Examination Pattern

• Engineering and Mathematical questions are compulsory and carry 15% weightage of the paper (15 marks) 

• The questions based on subject of the exam carry 70% weightage of the paper (70 marks) 

• The remaining part of GATE question paper includes General Aptitude Test it carries 15% weightage of paper (15 marks)

Examination Scores

The Score Validity

The score validity of GATE – EE marks is 4 years. Candidates can apply in universities with that particular score for four years. Once the validity expires, Candidates have to reappear for the examination to get a new score for admission. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the GATE – EE examination should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Technology (4 years after 10+2 / Post B. Sc / Post – Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programs are eligible to apply for GATE – EE.

Step 2: Fill the required details like Name, Mobile number, Email ID, Education qualification
