Q1.

The perimeter of a square is equal to twice the perimeter of rectangle whose dimension are length 9 cm and  6 cm . what is the approximate circumference of semicircle whose diameter is equal to the side of square ?

Solution:

Perimeter of square = 2 { 2 ( l + b )}

4a = 2 { 2 ( 9 + 6) }

 4a = 60

a = 15 cm

circumference of semicircle

where, d = a  So,  d = 15

So, r = 7.5 m

Hence, by using the concept of semicircle,

Circumference of semi-circle is = (
