About GATE CS

GATE – CS is a concept-oriented exam. GATE exam is neither easy nor hard, it is moderate in such a way the best among various aspirants could be selected. Computer Science is very conceptual; you don’t have to mug up something. It is a national level entrance exam held by the GATE committee in eight zones across India every year. The applicants can use GATE score or rank for admission in postgraduate.

Examination Dates

GATE CS Examination is a concept-oriented exam as it picks the best amongst the numerous applicants. GATE CS 2021 Examination held on 13th February 2021. Computer Science is a subject you cannot just learn; you have to understand every bit of it. Some of the most important topics for the GATE CS 2021 Examination are Programming and Data structures, Operating Systems, Computer Organization, Computer Architecture, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Database, and Computer Networking. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) awards are presented by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for the engineers qualifying GATE examination.

Examination Scores

The Score Validity

Score validity of GATE – CS examination is of three years. Candidates can use that score for admission in colleges for three years. After three years the scores will be invalid. Once the duration expires, candidates have to reappear for the examination in order to get new scores

Eligibility Criteria

Final year student or graduate of Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering/ architecture or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in science, computer applications can apply for GATE.

Application fees is non-refundable after cancellation

Cancellation Fee: cancellation charges are zero

Step 1:  Login using GOAPS enrolment ID and GOAPS password

Step 2: Fill the required details like Name, Mobile number, Email ID, Education qualification

Step 3: Upload signature, photograph and SC/ST certificate

Step 4: Pay the application fees

Step 5: Submit the application

The GATE exam can be used for recruitment into various research institutes. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research provides the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) to engineers who have qualified the GATE exam
